Job Summary
The Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, FRS9 Credit Models is responsible for performing Forward Looking Model related tasks based on MFRS 9 requirements within HLBB / HLISB. This will include the review of multiple key assessment areas including Macroeconomic/Market Outlook, Portfolio Health Check, Credit Risk Monitoring Assessment and Individual Credit Assessment. This role will report to the Head of Credit Risk Governance.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Functional (job responsibilities)
- Participates in the development of MFRS 9 and drives the performance of the quarterly review of the MFRS 9 forward-looking model, which takes into account complex operating variables in risk modeling.
- Responsible for the performance of sensitivity analysis based on historical macroeconomic variables (to generate upside/base/downside scenarios) and provides financial statement statutory disclosure information.
- Enhances the model based on audit observations from BNM and internal/external audits.
- Updates policies and SOPs based on the latest changes to the model.
- Provides support and guidance to the model owner upon handover of the model.
Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
- A good team player to ensure strong team spirit and deliver quality results.
- Works and coordinates with stakeholders and data providers in developing the best approach and solutions towards automated reporting.
Jobholder Requirement
Malaysian citizen.
Education/Qualification
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred.
Experience
- 2 years and above experience in accounting or FRS9 related.
- Possesses knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Special Skills
- Possesses good time management skill and technical competency, able to complete assignments timely and independently.
- Ability to produce infographics to present complex ideas/scenarios.
