Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an active sales funnel of potential business opportunities
  • Manage sales pipeline within specified geographical regions, target markets, and/or targeted account
  • Select the most appropriate solution for a customer’s specific application and circumstances through conducting analysis of customer’s current and projected electrical usage, site visit and financial ROI
  • Work with existing tools to develop solution system designs as a visual example for customers
  • Displays or demonstrates solution, using demo or catalogs, and explains features, attributes and advantages over competition.
  • Lead negotiations with customer through to closing in a highly proficient manner
  • Regularly update and maintain company CRM (Salesforce) with leads, funnel, and opportunity information.
  • Execute special assignments, as required, including support of business planning, sales & marketing plans, trade show participation.
  • Maintain high level of customer satisfaction through direct contact with, customer service, technical service, engineering and other departments as appropriate.
  • Hands-on project management from securing order, project execution to after-sales service
  • Advise superior / management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for process improvements

Requirements

  • Min 5 years experience in “solution sales” of capital-intensive equipment, with proven ability within the B2B market.
  • Required language (s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
  • Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering.
  • Experience in self-generating customer leads, exceptional follow up skills
  • Demonstrated ability to access, negotiate and engage multiple executive levels at customers and prospects
  • Ability to use analytical thinking/techniques to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to operate in a cross-functional environment to develop solutions and maximize business results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
