Key Accountabilities
The ideal candidate is responsible to design, plan, execute well testing activities. Well Test Engineer accountable for all tasks related to well testing, supervising and following up with well testing contractors, work with Drilling, Reservoir Engineering, and G&G, to achieve objectives of Well Testing program.
- Planning, engineering and execute Well Testing activities of the company to ensure the execution is in accordance with NOMA/THQ/Petronas/Industry Standard within approved programs and budget.
- Preparing Well Testing CAPEX budget covering surface, downhole and related well testing equipment and services.
- Work together with procurement to establish contract including preparing ITB documents, TP, perform technical/commercial evaluation, until issue letter of award process.
- Provide technical support to Drilling Superintendent and offshore Supervisor during the planning stage and operations.
- Develop well testing Basis of design (BOD), conceptual, procedures and programs to ensure safe and efficient operations by introducing innovative programs, techniques and setting key performance indicators for the project teams.
- Carry out equipment inspection and QAQC.
- Closely supervise and monitor well test operation and keep constant feedback of the operations and advise when necessary if the program needs to be adjusted due to well conditions. In case of anomaly, report immediately and propose course of action. Follow up with field day‐to‐day operations and submit proper reporting according to hierarchical channels. Ensure Well Testing report as designed to be composed for each well with comments, feedback and failures if any.
- Communicate closely within the relevant departments MLM, O&M, PP, G&G, DRL, and RE for activities related to Well Integrity and Intervention.
- Mentor and coach Junior team members to enhance their capabilities for achieving high performance delivery.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
- Minimum 15 years of experience in well testing operation including Tubing conveyed Perforation (TCP), Wireline, Coiled Tubing and etc. associated with DST operation.
- B.Sc. in engineering, preferably Petroleum Engineering / or equivalent
- Possess IWCF Well control Level 4 or IADC WellSharp Oil & Gas Operator Representative Workover & Intervention. To arrange for training if not yet certified after join.
- Experienced in designing and executing High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) well testing/DST operation.
- Good teamwork, communication, analytical thinking, drive execution and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, strong team player, open and transparent communicator across diverse multidiscipline teams.
