Technician, Laboratory

Job Summary Execute Laboratory Department activities as per established frequencies and testing plan. Job Responsibilities Quality Control 1. The Lab Technician is to report to LS, QAE and QAM 2. To assist QAM, QAE and LS to ensure smooth daily operation of the QA Dept i.e. make the necessary arrangements to analyze the raw material, finished product, monthly competitors flour sample any other necessary test in accordance to the established QA plan. 3. To conduct analysis for incoming, in-progress and out-going test sample or products as per established sampling plan. 4. LT is responsible in performing laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support analysis and quality investigations. 5. To carry out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses 6. LT is responsible recording and sometimes interpreting results to present to senior colleagues 7. To conduct analysis for the monthly competitors’ flour collected. 8. To highlight/inform any non-conformances found to LS / QAE / QAM and, to Production Dept (Head Miller / Millers) when necessary. Also to liaise with Production Dept. (Head miller/millers) on daily production quality i.e. from raw material till finished product inclusive of by-products. 9. To perform routine performance test as per set schedule. 10. To take charge of test equipment calibration and verification. 11. To responsible for the verification of pest control activity by external pest control service provider 12. The management reserves the right to assign additional jobs to the Lab Supervisor.
