STORE ASSISTANT

Job Summary: The Store Assistant supports daily store operations by ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment, and assisting in inventory management. This role is vital to delivering a positive shopping experience and supporting the store team in achieving sales targets. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: 1. Customer Service o Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries. o Provide product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences. o Handle customer complaints or escalate them to the store manager when necessary. 2. Sales Assistance o Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle returns or exchanges. o Upsell and cross-sell products to meet sales goals. o Promote special offers, discounts, and loyalty programs to customers. 3. Stock Management o Replenish shelves and ensure products are properly displayed. o Assist with inventory counts and report stock shortages or discrepancies. o Unpack and organize deliveries in the stockroom. 4. Store Maintenance o Ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well-organized at all times. o Monitor and maintain visual merchandising standards. o Report any maintenance or safety issues to the store manager. 5. Team Collaboration o Work closely with colleagues to achieve daily store targets. o Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and skills. o Support in-store events and promotions as needed. ________________________________________ Skills and Qualifications: Essential Skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately. • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
