Job description: 1. Assist the Head of Production in managing daily operations and overseeing the production team to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity. 2. Coordinate production schedules and workflows to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards. 3. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. 4. Support the development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes. 5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the production environment. 6. Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions promptly. 7. Assist in training and development of production staff, fostering a high-performance culture. 8. Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, quality control, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations. 9. Generate regular reports on production performance and present findings to the Head of Production. 10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of Lean Sigma initiatives with overall production goals. Job requirements: • Bachelor’s/ Master degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Chemical, Mechanical or a related field. A Lean Six Sigma certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 8 -10 years of experience in production management or manufacturing operations, with a preference for experience in the chemical or gas industry. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. • Extensive knowledge of production processes, quality management, and safety regulations. • Proven experience in implementing process improvements and achieving operational efficiencies. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders. • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office tools. • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
