GLASS PROCESS SPECIALIST

 Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements  Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment  Is the lead person in developing manufacturing routing instructions and CNC machining programs  Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, equipment layout, methods, tooling, fixtures, materials, machinery and machine programs  Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes  Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs  Prepares process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends  Maintains awareness of equipment capability and communicates issues and opportunities affecting the efficiency or effectiveness of machinery and equipment
