Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Accountant to join the Business Development team. This position is designed to support financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting for new business ventures, partnerships, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial planning, and the ability to align financial data with business growth objectives. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Business Development team to track, analyze, and report on financial performance for new projects, partnerships, and business initiatives. Prepare financial models and forecasts to support the evaluation of potential business opportunities. Manage the financial aspects of business development contracts, ensuring proper accounting for revenue recognition, cost allocations, and other financial matters. Assist in the preparation of detailed financial reports, including profitability analysis, for new business proposals. Maintain and monitor budgets for business development projects, providing regular updates on financial status and deviations from projections. Support in the preparation of investment analyses, including ROI and break-even analysis for proposed business ventures. Review and ensure accuracy of invoices related to business development activities, and manage accounts payable/receivable as needed. Work with the finance team to ensure that financial planning aligns with the overall business strategy. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Business Development team to inform strategic decision-making. Participate in meetings with the Business Development team to offer financial perspectives on project feasibility and potential risks. Ensure that all financial data is consistent with accounting standards and company policies. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field. Proven experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to business development or strategic financial analysis. Proficiency with accounting software (Microsoft Excel). Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to assess business opportunities and risks. Understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and business development metrics. Ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or similar professional certification. Experience working closely with business development teams or in strategic planning. Knowledge of financial forecasting and budgeting tools. Familiarity with contract management and revenue recognition principles.
