Reporting Line(s) 1.Reports to the Oil & Gas Operations Manager 2.Works in close liaison with the manager in charge of the project to which he or she is assigned Work Schedule and Work Location 1.Works on the inspection site or remotely, from home or from a company’s office, in accordance with the instructions provided by the company and his or her contract. 2.Works 12h per day, 7-days per week, until the end of the assignment, in accordance with his or her contract Duties 1.Operations a.Equips him or herself with all the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by company rules or site rules, whichever is stricter. b.Complies with all the QHSE standards and QHSE procedures implemented by the client and/or by the equipment owner/manager on the inspection site. c.Informs client and/or equipment owner of any unsafe situations d.Complies with company’s QHSE policies. e.Attends meetings with clients and with equipment owners/managers, remotely and/or on the inspection/audit/survey site, for projects to which he or she is assigned. f.Conducts inspections/audits/surveys of equipment and/or systems and/or personnel on drilling and workover rigs or in other oilfied sites in accordance with contractual provisions and procedures provided by company. g.As applicable, in accordance with contractual provisions, namely the scope of work, and in accordance with his or her work specialty (mechanical, electrical, marine, well control, QHSE, etc), reviews documentation, visually inspects equipment, requests and witnesses function tests and/or endurance tests, audits management systems, including but not limited to Preventive Management Systems and Safety Management Systems, audits personnel competency, performs DROPS surveys, etc. h.Documents findings via photos, reports, non-conformity lists, etc. i.Ensures that equipment and/or systems and/or personnel, as applicable, comply with applicable codes, with rules and regulations, with standards, with clients specific requirements and with good oilfield practices. j.Directly contacts client’s representative with respect to any critical findings k.Reports to company and client on a daily basis the progress of the inspection/audit/survey. l.Prepares and updates on a daily basis non-conformity lists. m.Recommends corrective actions to the Operations Manager, when and if required. 2.Administration a.Makes sure that he or she has valid documents to travel. b.In close liaison with the Operations Manager makes sure that he or she has valid certifications, including medical certification, certificates to work offshore, etc. c.Prepares time sheets and gets approval from clients on or before departing the inspection site. Provides time sheets to the company manager running the project in up to 24h from the demobilization date. d.Prepares expense sheets in up to 48h after returning home. e.Provides final report to company in up to 72h after returning home. f.Provides invoice to company for services rendered and expenses incurred in up to 72h after returning home. 3.General a.Commercial – Entertains good relationships with clients and tries to get information about upcoming projects. b.Technical Standards – When applicable, provides the Operations Manager with corrections, suggestions to companies standards. Minimum Qualifications •Preferably, shall have a minimum of 15 years working experience in his or her specialty •For inspections/audits/surveys to be performed on drilling rigs, preferably shall have a minimum of 10 years working experience on drilling rigs •Preferably, shall have a minimum of five (5) years working as a head of department in his specialty on a drilling rig. •Shall be familiar with the equipment and/or systems to be inspected/audited. •Shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working as an inspector/auditor surveyor. •Shall have a deep understanding of codes and standards applicable to the activity. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities •Professional appearance and attitude when dealing with clients and with contractors •Must read, write, and speak English fluently. •Second language(s) preferred: French, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese •Skills in using computers as a user of Excel, Word,… Writing skills •Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts. •Accuracy and attention to detail •Good communicator •Able and used to work independently for the duration of the assignments •Demonstrated interpersonal skills. •Team worker
