Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing preventive maintenance schedules, engineering maintenance requests, and new work orders. This role ensures the effective and accurate completion of tasks while maintaining compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, engineering requests, and new work orders, ensuring they are performed and accurately documented.
  • Maintain facility standards and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide a monthly work plan for approval by the Director of Engineering.
  • Monitor and implement necessary training to support the hotel management’s multi-skills policy.
  • Promote environmental sustainability by reducing waste, recycling, and reusing materials when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the engineering field, particularly in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address engineering challenges.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards, regulations, and best practices.
