Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Pedagogy to oversee the learning environment across our three campuses. This role will ensure that our educational standards meet and exceed industry expectations, aligning curriculum and teaching methodologies with the latest technological advancements and industry demands. The Head of Pedagogy will play a crucial role in shaping the academic direction, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring that students are equipped with the skills required for the evolving tech landscape.

Specific Duties of the Role

  • Lead and oversee all pedagogy-related activities across 42 Kuala Lumpur, 42 Iskandar Puteri, and 42 Penang.
  • Develop, implement, and provide suggestions to continuously improve the curriculum to align with current and future industry trends in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, and more.
  • Ensure adherence to the 42 Network's peer-to-peer learning principles while incorporating innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to integrate real-world problem-solving into the curriculum.
  • Monitor student progress and implement strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Facilitate regular training and professional development for staff involved in pedagogy and student support.
  • Oversee the design and execution of milestone programs, Piscine bootcamps, and core curriculum projects.
  • Foster an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment that encourages student collaboration and innovation.
  • Stay updated with global educational trends and technological advancements to ensure the relevance and competitiveness of 42 Malaysia's programs.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Academics and Learning Experience Designer on curriculum development and IT integration.
  • Report on academic performance and pedagogy outcomes to the COO and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • While a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, we are open to candidates without a formal degree who can demonstrate equivalent experience and skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an educational leadership role, preferably in a tech-focused or innovative learning environment.
  • Strong understanding of modern pedagogical theories and practices, particularly in peer-to-peer or project-based learning models.
  • Proven ability to align educational programs with industry requirements and trends
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skill.
  • Ability to manage multiple campuses and coordinate with diverse teams.
  • Passion for technology and education, with a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Experience working within the 42 Network or similar innovative education models and familiarity of the Malaysian education landscape and digital economy initiatives is a bonus.
  • Strong network within the tech industry for collaboration and curriculum development would be preferred.

Technical Knowledge Required:

Must have:

  • C, C++ , Algorithms, OOP & Linux

Nice to have:

  • Networking, Docker, Javascript, Python, AWS/GCP/Azure or other cloud equivalent
