Junior IT Tech
The Junior IT Support Technician is responsible for providing first-level support for Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Financial Information Systems (FIS), and Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS). The role also includes supporting IT infrastructure, managing email accounts, and maintaining user IDs. The technician will ensure that all IT-related issues are resolved promptly to support hospital operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities -
Application Support:
- Provide first-level support for HIS, FIS, and HRMS applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to these systems.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as necessary.
- Assist in the training of staff on the use of these applications.
IT Infrastructure Support:
- Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and computer systems.
- Perform regular checks and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
- Email and ID Management:
- Create and manage user email accounts and IDs.
- Handle password resets and user access issues.
- Maintain accurate records of user accounts and access rights.
General IT Support:Collaboration and Communication:
- Provide first-level support for IT-related issues reported by hospital staff.
- Log and track all support requests using the IT ticketing system.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Assist in maintaining IT documentation and knowledge base.
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff to understand and address their IT needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of HIS, FIS, and HRMS applications (it an added advantage)
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and computer systems.
- Proficiency in managing email systems and user accounts.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Environment: Hospital setting with a requirement to be on-site.
- Hours: Full-time, Mon – Friday and Alternative Sat and Sunday
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move computer equipment, perform tasks that require physical effort, and work in various locations within the hospital.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
