This role will oversee the development and implementation of quality control processes, conduct inspections, and manage a team of QC inspectors to ensure product conformity to specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems, policies, and procedures to ensure product quality standards are met throughout the production cycle.
- Lead and manage the QC team, providing guidance, training, and performance reviews.
- Perform regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for any quality issues or defects identified.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports, records, and quality documentation.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related concerns and improve processes.
- Perform audits on suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Coordinate the setup and calibration of measuring tools and equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations within the QC team and ensure all procedures comply with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control management within the machining or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, etc.).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive a culture of quality.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Familiarity with quality control software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Preferred:
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) is a plus.
- Experience with CNC machining processes and tooling is highly desirable.
- Experienced in machining industry.
