About the role

The candidate will be attached with the Strategic Sourcing Department during the internship period including but not limited to the following learnings/trainings:

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Analyse shipment data to assess market prices and support effective price negotiations.
  • Perform strategic analysis in terms of pricing and product quality in choosing the right vendor
  • Strategic sourcing and procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials as required by the new product development project
  • Manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and monitoring delivery
  • Maintain vendor and material data in SAP and assist in the development of procedures or guidelines to ensure a smooth production operation
  • Coordinate logistic activities and custom clearance with external/internal customers and suppliers
  • Coordinate material and vendor qualification processes for new materials and vendors.
  • Accommodate the business direction and requirements to ensure the success of any new product launch with a proactive approach

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Business studies or any relevant fields.
  • Preferably a Final Year candidate with 6 months internship requirement.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis. (i.e., mathematical formula, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.) is advantageous
  • Versatile and resilient, ability to stay positive in high-pressure and ambiguous environments and work towards delivering results
  • Proficient communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Must be willing to work at Glenmarie, Shah Alam.

Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM999.00 - RM1,000.00 per month
