The BIM Trainer will provide instruction and support to employees, clients, and stakeholders on how to use BIM tools and methodologies to enhance the design, construction, and operational processes. This role requires expertise in BIM software (such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar) and an understanding of building design and construction practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training sessions on BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, ArchiCAD, Civil 3D, etc.
  • Customize training content to fit the specific needs of the audience (designers, engineers, architects, etc.).
  • Conduct hands-on workshops and training sessions for both beginners and advanced users.
  • Create and update training materials, including manuals, guides, and videos.
  • Ensure the training content is aligned with the latest BIM standards, trends, and software updates.
  • Develop both in-person and virtual training modules.
  • Provide on-demand support for trainees, addressing any software-related challenges or questions.
  • Troubleshoot common issues and assist in resolving technical problems related to BIM tools.
  • Offer one-on-one coaching and mentoring to team members or clients.
  • Advise project teams on BIM best practices, workflows, and integration into current projects.
  • Stay updated on new BIM technologies and trends to keep training materials current.
  • Share knowledge of the latest BIM advancements and industry developments with trainees.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback.
  • Adjust training approaches based on the learning progress and needs of participants.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience required 3-5 years
  • Proven experience using BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building design, and project management.
  • Previous experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, engaging manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, BIM Manager certification).
  • Knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650, BS 1192, etc.).
  • Familiarity with BIM for construction project lifecycle (from design to operations).
  • Experience in delivering both in-person and remote (virtual) training sessions.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time
  • May involve occasional travel to client sites for on-site training.
  • Flexible hours may be required to accommodate trainees from different time zones (for remote training).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
