Regional HR Manager
Position : Regional HR Manager
Salary : up to RM 10,000
Location : Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur
Working Day : Monday – Friday
Job Scope
· Act as the local HR representative, managing all HR-related functions and processes for Malaysia, Singapore and the regional office.
· Handle all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, and exit procedures.
· Collaborate with payroll vendors to process monthly payroll, manage overtime, allowances, and ensure statutory filings and contributions are accurate and timely.
· Coordinate training initiatives including sourcing training providers, tracking training plans, and maintaining compliance with training SOPs.
· Administer and review employee benefits to maintain competitiveness.
· Develop, review, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
· Ensure consistent application of policies across the organization and compliance with local laws and regulations.
· Address employee grievances, manage misconduct cases, and handle terminations in accordance with local regulations.
· Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives such as surveys, team-building events, and other activities to foster a positive work environment.
· Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with local laws while safeguarding sensitive employee data.
· Provide guidance and oversight to HR personnel in assigned BUs, reviewing their work and proposals.
· Manage the performance of HR personnel in BUs and ensure alignment with organizational policies and goals.
· Escalate HR matters from BUs to the Regional HR Director for approval or further action.
· Assist in establishing HR operations for new markets, including recruitment, payroll, employee benefits, policy creation, and training processes.
· Contribute to the implementation and execution of regional and global HR initiatives and projects.
· Fostering a productive and positive work environment and culture.
Requirements
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
· Proven 8 years of relevant work experience with regional exposure.
· In-depth knowledge of local labor laws and regulations, with a proactive approach to staying updated on changes.
· Hands-on experience with payroll systems and Human Resources Management Software.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong command of English language.
· Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to guide, train, and coach HR personnel, managers, and employees across multiple business units.
· Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels.
· Proven experience in managing conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations.
· A commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all HR dealings.
· Exceptional ability to manage complex HR processes, analyze situations, and implement solutions effectively.
