As part of our growing team, we are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to oversee and enhance our sourcing operations, ensuring the best quality fruits at competitive prices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to source high-quality fruits and packaging materials.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers for cost-effective and reliable partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, wholesalers, and other key suppliers.
  • Cost & Quality Control
  • Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and industry developments to optimize procurement costs.
  • Conduct supplier audits and quality checks to ensure consistent product standards.
  • Work closely with the Quality Control team to maintain freshness, safety, and compliance with food standards.
  • Inventory & Logistics Coordination
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing wastage.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure timely delivery and storage efficiency.
  • Implement demand forecasting strategies to improve procurement planning.
  • Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure all procurement processes comply with company policies, industry regulations, and food safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
  • Manage import/export requirements when dealing with overseas suppliers.
  • Process Improvement & Team Collaboration
  • Continuously seek ways to improve procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance supplier performance.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align procurement with business needs.
  • Lead, train, and develop a high-performing procurement team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the FMCG, food supply, or agriculture industry.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of fruit supply chains, market trends, and food safety regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
