PURCHASING EXECUTIVE
OBJECTIVE
Ensure availability and profitability of products' assortment through partnership with most appropriate suppliers and
alignment with consumption patterns, business model, and Merchandise plans and budgets.
To create profitable customer driven ranges and promotions to deliver sales and margin targets. My buying plan supports a group of products which deliver what customer needs.

Have a great range which gives the customer a reason to shop with us across all formats
Develop my supplier base to achieve competitive advantage
Negotiate product cost and rebates to continually drive down costs for our customers
Plan and negotiate market leading promotions
Use the exit process to optimise sell through and minimise exit costs
ORGANIZATION EFFICIENCY
Actively trade my buying area weekly and take decisions on price, range and promotions. To do this I use data on customers, competitors, sales and margin
Create buying plans detailing range, price, suppliers and promotional activity
Plan and create a customer focused range to optimise sales and margin and achieve commercial ranging principles
I agree exit plans for discontinued lines and level run down stock holding targets
Identify new innovative products and specifications for either branded or own label products
Identify new sources of supply and negotiate terms with new suppliers
Negotiate with existing suppliers to optimise performance and improve terms to reduce prices for customers
Create and execute promotions to deliver the trade plan
Coordinate appropriate departments so that we have support from design brief to product
Provide a written contract to suppliers to reflect any new or updated deals
Undertake and perform all/any other duty/task which may be assigned to you by your immediate supervisor, Line Manager and/or Function Head.
To receive weekly ageing/dead stocks reports in own area and lists of items in stock for more than 1 year with
proposed rebated price, analyze, liaise with suppliers, approve rebate, calculate margin on rebated items, take
corrective measures.
To receive weekly sales results in own category, compare with target sales and margin within category, in case of
lower-than-expected results, verify market trends and compensate with other categories if market is down, otherwise
conduct investigation and take corrective action, liaise with stores to correct trends through better display or product
discounts, or request specific promotion.

Help to deliver the cost centre budget and feedback to my manager ways of reducing costs

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
