The Sheet Metal Operation Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing sheet metal production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves coordinating with various departments, optimizing production workflows, and ensuring timely delivery of fabricated metal components.

Responsibilities:

1. Production Management

  • Oversee daily sheet metal operations, including cutting, bending, punching, welding, and assembly.
  • Plan and schedule production activities to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Monitor raw material availability and coordinate procurement with the supply chain team.

2. Process Improvement & Quality Control

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet required tolerances and specifications.
  • Address production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize defects.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain high production standards.

3. Equipment & Maintenance

  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of sheet metal machinery (e.g., laser cutters, press brakes, CNC machines).
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Train and educate workers on best practices, safety procedures, and equipment handling.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

5. Team Coordination & Reporting

  • Supervise and guide production staff, ensuring adherence to work schedules and performance goals.
  • Conduct regular meetings to review production targets and address challenges.
  • Prepare and submit reports on production output, efficiency, and quality metrics.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing operations.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of sheet metal processes, CNC machinery, and CAD software.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions.
  • Leadership: Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a production team.
  • Communication: Effective communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality control and precision in manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
