  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

A Dental Nurse provides chairside assistance to dentists during procedures, ensuring patients receive high-quality care. Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, sterilizing instruments, assisting in procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

Clinical Duties:

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare dental instruments and materials.
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments according to infection control protocols.
  • Take and process X-rays (if qualified and permitted).
  • Mix and prepare dental materials (e.g., fillings, impressions, cements).
  • Provide chairside support and reassurance to patients.
  • Maintain patient records and update charts.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Administrative Duties:

  • Schedule appointments and manage patient bookings.
  • Process payments and handle billing.
  • Order and maintain stock of dental supplies.
  • Liaise with laboratories for dental work orders.

Patient Care & Support:

  • Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
  • Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Offer emotional support to anxious patients.
  • Assist with oral health education and hygiene advice.
