Forklift Driver cum Logistic Planner
A Forklift Driver cum Logistic Planner is a hybrid role that combines two key responsibilities: operating a forklift and planning logistics operations
Key Activities / Accountabilities
· Unloading / uploading materials and goods from incoming and outgoing vehicles to a designated place.
· Monitor loading and unloading of warehouses and ports (if needed)
· Work closely with internal and external parties to ensure goods are scheduled accordingly and delivered to customers within the stipulated time frame.
· Plan and optimize transportation routes to ensure efficient movement of goods.
· Coordinate transportation services and track shipments in transit.
· Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives for process optimization.
· Coordinate and schedule tasks for lorry drivers and driver attendants, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to safety protocols.
· Report truck delays/issues to appropriate departments.
· Handle urgent and unexpected situations such as the need to reschedule truck, driver or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent on time delivery.
Requirements
· SPM at least 2 years of experience in logistic, or at least Diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
· Proven experience in logistics planning and operations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Working Days
Monday-Friday (8:30am to 5:30 pm)
Saturday (8:30am to 1:00 pm)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
