About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Indirect Buyer to join our Global Supply Chain team. This role focuses on procuring indirect goods and services to support operations in Western markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, tax compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy – Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories such as IT, marketing, facilities, MRO, and professional services.
- Supplier Management – Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers in Western countries to meet quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Contract Negotiation – Negotiate supplier agreements in compliance with Western legal standards and mitigate risks.
- Tax & Compliance – Ensure compliance with Western tax regulations, including VAT and withholding tax, and collaborate with finance and legal teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with Western-based stakeholders and global teams to align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Market & Regulatory Awareness – Stay up to date with market trends, cost structures, and procurement regulations in Western markets.
- System & Data Management – Utilize SAP, Ariba, or ERP systems to manage procurement processes and ensure accurate records.
What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Purchasing, or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum five to seven years of indirect procurement experience, with at least three years managing Western market purchases.
- Strong background in tax-related compliance, including VAT and withholding tax, in Western countries.
- Hands-on experience in cross-border procurement and compliance.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work across different time zones.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Mandarin is an advantage.
