REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

General 1. Follow standard operating procedures (sops) and work instructions for routine maintenance tasks. 2. Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the root causes of equipment problems. 3. Execute repairs and replacements of faulty equipment components. 4. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks. 5. Participate in safety training programs and promote a safety culture among team members. 6. Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge. 7. Maintain accurate records of daily activities and observations. 8. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards during all maintenance activities. 9. Report and document equipment downtime incidents promptly. 10. Support technicians 2&3 in troubleshooting and minor repairs. Technical 1. Install and rectify air conditioning/ refrigeration components and equipment 2. Inspects systems and their components (e.g. Air conditioning, heating and refrigeration units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) To ensure safety and identify necessary repairs and providing an ongoing program of preventive maintenance. 3. Troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures to identify equipment and systems repair and replacement needs. 4. Perform preventive/corrective/predictive maintenance as needed and ensure that the refrigeration (ammonia & freon) and other assigned facilities systems function effectively. 5. Clean cooler units and refrigeration facilities (e.g., Coils, condensation pans, drain lines, cooling towers, etc.) to ensure units are performing as required. 6. Conduct inspection and preventive maintenance program for fire fighting system i.e. Pump house inspection 7. Assist and monitor vendor in performing periodic servicing of fire fighting system 8. Prepare documentation (e.g. Records of refrigerants, paperwork, logs, time and materials, specifications, fire fighting equipment inspection etc.) To provide written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information. 9. Repairs or replaces defective parts in units, equipment, and controls. 10. Requests equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensures availability of required items to complete the necessary installation/repair. 11. Record keeping: maintain records of maintenance activities, including part replacements, inspections, and lubrication schedules. 12. Communication: communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to report maintenance findings and request assistance when needed.
