Key Responsibilities Operation & Maintenance 1. Gas Engine Operations: o Monitor and operate a 2MW gasification power plant's gas engine, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with operational procedures. o Perform start-up, shutdown, and routine checks of the gas engine and auxiliary systems during assigned shifts. 2. Preventive Maintenance: o Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of the gas engine, generators, cooling systems, and other related equipment. o Replace filters, spark plugs, lubricants, and other consumables per the maintenance schedule. 3. Troubleshooting & Repairs: o Diagnose engine malfunctions, vibration issues, and performance problems. o Perform corrective maintenance and assist in major overhauls as required. ________________________________________ Gasification System Integration 4. Gas Quality Monitoring: o Work with the gasification team to ensure the syngas quality (e.g., calorific value, purity) meets engine requirements. o Monitor and report any anomalies in the syngas supply that might impact engine performance. 5. System Coordination: o Coordinate with control room operators to ensure synchronized operation between the gasifier and gas engine. ________________________________________ Safety & Compliance 6. Safety Procedures: o Follow strict safety protocols during all operations and maintenance activities. o Conduct hazard assessments and participate in toolbox talks to ensure a safe working environment. 7. Regulatory Compliance: o Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulatory requirements, including monitoring emissions and noise levels. ________________________________________ Shift Reporting & Documentation 8. Shift Handover: o Maintain detailed logs of shift activities, including engine performance, maintenance tasks, and issues encountered. o Ensure clear communication with incoming shift technicians for seamless transitions. 9. Technical Reporting: o Record operational data, maintenance work orders, and engine performance metrics for analysis and reporting.
