Lab Technician

1.0. Test Performing (In-process & Finished Product) Collect pre-grinding and pulverizing sample and conduct particle size test. Collect sample from after pulverizing, mixer, conditioner, pellet mill, dryer and cooler To conduct moisture test using Halogen Moisture Analyser. Perform water stability and fines test on every batch of finished product collect from Packing line. Perform PDI on finished product using Holmen NHP 100. Conduct particle size distribution on every batch of crumble feed. Conduct undersize and oversize test on every 3 batches of composite pellet feed. Prepare micro tracer, manual dumping, collect samples and perform homogeneity test. Physical checking on color, smell and floating test. Conduct additional test on special trial feed from time to time. 2.0 Quality Control On Raw Material Checking on the condition of raw material in warehouse and do sampling when necessary Liaise with dumping operator on raw material sequencing used. Ensure dumping operator follow instruction given when necessary. Give raw material lot number information to control room supervisor. (batching report) 3.0 Quality Assurance (Production) Process checking based on QA checklist. Checking temperature at Lecithin tank, DDC, Pellet mill, Stabilizer and Dry Checking cutting size at Pellet mill. Verify finished product bag weight at packing line. Verification on the pellet mill condition. Need to sign on the pellet mill checklist. Checking and verification on the formula use in PLC system, including tailing bin. Ensure every new formula pass one copy to production and every new premix Formula to premix operator. Daily update to production quality of the finished product. Collect and checking sacking off ensure provide correct number of finished Product sample. Issue NCR to production supervisor and ensure is close on time. Check condition of return feed and take sample for NIR scanning. Cooperating with dumping operator on return and rejected feed at production. Follow up closely on WIP finished product and ensure put on-hold or reject label On each pallet of WIP finished product on time. Inform QA/QC Manager and Production Supervisor any process parameter is out Of specification. Inform QA/QC Manager and Production Supervisor any abnormal found. Follow instructions from QA/QC Manager. 4.0 Miscellaneous Prepare sampling book for sales personnel when require. Collect microbe sample on monthly basic. Starting collect sample on 2nd week of Every month and sample need to send to lab on 3rd week of every month. Copy weekly PLC report from production and share online. Data entry of in- process and finished product checking record into computer. To oversee housekeeping of work station. *** Note: Scope of work will be revised depending on the business needs, other related duties as and when assigned by your reporting superior from time to time.
