We are a growing F&B company known for our premium bakery products, currently operating cafe and cookies counters in shopping malls. With expansion plans in progress, we are seeking an experienced and innovative R&D Chef to enhance our offerings across a range of pastries, cakes, and cookies. This role will be essential in developing new products, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring our bakery lineup stays fresh, innovative, and aligned with market trends. The R&D Chef will be responsible for developing and refining recipes for pastries, cakes, and cookies, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in bakery R&D, an innovative approach to product development, and in-depth knowledge of ingredient functionality and flavor profiles. This role requires collaboration with marketing, operations, and outlet teams to ensure smooth product launches across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Create and refine recipes for an array of bakery items, including pastries, cakes, and cookies, aligned with market trends and customer preferences. 2. Experiment with innovative flavors, textures, and ingredients to expand our product range. 3. Develop seasonal and limited-edition items to drive customer interest and boost sales. 4. Establish and maintain consistent quality standards, taste, and texture across all bakery items. 5. Standardize recipes, ingredient specifications, and production methods for scalability across outlets. 6. Conduct rigorous testing to ensure recipes maintain quality and stability under various production conditions. 7. Partner with the Director(s) and Marketing team to align on product development strategies and timelines. 8. Train kitchen and outlet staff on new recipes, production techniques, and quality standards to ensure brand consistency. 9. Work closely with the procurement team to source quality ingredients and manage cost-effective production processes. 10. Keep updated on trends in pastries, cakes, and cookies, identifying new opportunities for innovation. 11. Conduct competitor analysis and incorporate customer feedback to refine and improve product offerings. 12. Support new outlet launches, including kitchen setup, equipment needs, and staff training. 13. Provide ongoing support to existing outlets for process optimization and troubleshooting baking issues. Job Requirements: 1. Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or a related field is preferred. 2. Proven experience as an R&D Chef or similar role in the bakery industry, particularly in pastries, cakes, or cookies. 3. Strong knowledge of baking science, ingredient functionality, and product development. 4. Creativity and passion for innovation, with the ability to develop diverse flavors, textures, and product concepts. 5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality. 6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple development projects under tight deadlines. 7.
