Job Summary:

The Cleaning Supervisor oversees the cleaning team to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors of the Elder Care Centre. This role involves hands-on cleaning, supervising cleaner staff, ensuring compliance with cleaning standards, and maintaining the functionality of cleaning equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Supervision:

  • Lead and supervise the cleaner team, including task assignment and scheduling.
  • Train new cleaner staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and proper equipment use.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

2. Cleaning Duties:

  • Perform cleaning tasks, including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and waste management.
  • Ensure all common areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, and staff areas meet cleanliness and hygiene standards.

3. Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce adherence to health and safety standards, especially those related to elder care.
  • Identify and address any potential hazards promptly.

4. Inventory and Equipment Management:

  • Monitor and maintain cleaning supply inventories, placing orders as needed.
  • Inspect cleaning equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality and arrange for repairs or replacements.

5. Coordination with Other Departments:

  • Collaborate with the superior and other departments to address specific cleaning needs and schedules.
  • Support preparation for events, renovations, or special projects as needed.

6. Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and incident reports.
  • Submit reports and updates to the superior.

7. Other Duties:

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the superior.

Qualifications:

1. Education and Experience:

  • High school or Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cleaner role.

2. Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety protocols, especially in elder care environments.

3. Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.

Pay: RM2,100.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
