Job Summary

As an Intern in Planning, you will support the Production Planning & Supply Chain team in ensuring smooth operations in a plastic injection moulding manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on experience in inventory control, production scheduling, material planning, and coordination between departments.

Scope of Works

1. Production & Material Planning Support

  • Assist in scheduling production plans based on customer orders and machine capacity.
  • Monitor raw material availability (resins, additives, colorants) and ensure sufficient stock levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for on-time material delivery.

2. Data Entry & Navision System Updates

  • Maintain accurate records in the Navision system (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Track and update production progress reports.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.

3. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Conduct stock checks and cycle counts.
  • Assist in managing work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory.
  • Help optimize inventory levels to reduce waste and costs.

4. Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Support the review and enhancement of production planning processes.
  • Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for planning activities.
  • Identify areas for efficiency improvements in machine utilization and workforce allocation.

5. Communication & Cross-Departmental Coordination

  • Work closely with production, quality, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Help address any delays, bottlenecks, or material shortages affecting production.
  • Attend planning meetings and provide input on scheduling challenges.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of production planning, inventory management, or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Duration length: 4-6 months

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM1,700.00 per month
