Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced finance professional to lead strategic financial planning, analysis, and reporting for a publicly listed company in Malaysia. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring regulatory compliance, driving cost efficiencies, and providing insightful financial guidance to support senior management in informed decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and oversee the company’s annual budget and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Conduct in-depth financial performance analysis, including variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to enhance profitability and cost efficiency.

Management Reporting:

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, highlighting key financial and operational metrics.
  • Deliver comprehensive performance reviews to the Board and Senior Management.

Cost Management:

  • Lead cost accounting processes, ensuring precise allocation and tracking of expenses.
  • Identify and implement strategies to optimize operational costs and improve profit margins.

Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure adherence to Bursa Malaysia’s listing requirements, the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to address audit requirements and findings.

Strategic Support:

  • Collaborate with departmental heads to align financial goals with overall business strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance on investment appraisals, risk assessments, and capital expenditure proposals.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture.
  • Oversee training and development initiatives to enhance technical and analytical competencies among finance personnel.

Tax and Treasury Management:

  • Oversee corporate tax planning, filing, and compliance to ensure tax efficiency.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital to meet the company’s liquidity and financial obligations.

Job Requirements:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, MACPA).
  • Membership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance or management accounting role.
  • Proven expertise in financial management within a publicly listed company.
  • Strong knowledge of Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements (highly preferred).
  • Comprehensive understanding of MFRS and other financial regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of simplifying complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
