Assistant Manager, Production Planning & Control

Report To

Senior Manager, Operations Planning

Position Summary

Responsible for ensuring the efficient planning and execution of Hangar and Line Maintenance events. This role focuses on optimizing resources, minimizing aircraft ground time, and driving operational excellence through effective coordination and strategic planning.

Key Accountability

  • Oversee production planning to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed within the scheduled ground time, with all required spares, tooling, and manpower available.
  • Lead the Aircraft Check Weekly Slot Meeting to finalize and adjust maintenance schedules, proactively managing ad-hoc slot requirements and extensions.
  • Ensure Duty Managers and Foremen are informed well in advance of planned maintenance activities for efficient resource allocation.
  • Work closely with other PPC teams to optimize manpower and escalate any issues impacting planned maintenance events.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to address delays or unforeseen challenges, ensuring minimal operational disruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvements in aircraft turnaround times by optimizing maintenance processes and resource utilization.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities align with industry safety regulations, company policies, and best practices.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategies to enhance production planning effectiveness and support business objectives.

Qualification & Working Experience

  • Relevant degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an MRO planning environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • LAE with B1/B2 rating with minimum 5 years’ including experience in aircraft maintenance/planning is an advantage
