Job Summary:
The Scrap Handler is responsible for managing, sorting, and disposing of scrap materials generated from aircraft maintenance, repairs, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Scrap Management & Disposal:
- Collect, sort, and categorize scrap materials such as metal, composites, and hazardous waste from aircraft maintenance and manufacturing operations.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of scrap materials in compliance with aviation and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with recycling vendors and disposal services for material processing.
2) Inventory & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of scrap materials, including weight, type, and disposal methods.
- Prepare reports on scrap volume, disposal costs, and revenue from recyclable materials.
3) Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to safety guidelines when handling hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with waste management policies.
- Perform basic maintenance checks on tools and equipment used for scrap handling.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Prior experience in waste management, material handling, or aviation-related scrap handling preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
