Finance Manager/Senior Finance Manager Reporting to: CEO Job Purpose To provide strategic financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support the management and operations of a public listed company in Malaysia. The Finance Manager will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, drive cost efficiency, and deliver value-added financial insights to enable informed decision-making by senior management. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning and Analysis Develop and oversee the company's annual budget and long-term financial forecasts. Analyze financial performance, including variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and cost efficiency. Management Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, highlighting key financial and operational metrics. Deliver comprehensive performance reviews to the Board and Senior Management. Cost Management Lead cost accounting processes, ensuring accurate allocation and tracking of expenses. Identify and implement strategies to optimize operational costs and improve margins Compliance and Governance Ensure compliance with the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), and other relevant regulations. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to address audit requirements and findings Strategic Support Partner with departmental heads to align financial goals with business strategies. Provide guidance on investment appraisals, risk assessments, and capital expenditure proposals. Team Leadership Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Oversee training and development for finance personnel to enhance technical and analytical skills Tax and Treasury Management Oversee corporate tax planning, filing, and compliance to ensure tax efficiency. Manage cash flow and working capital to meet the company's liquidity needs. Requirement Qualification A recognized Degree Accounting/Finance/Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW). Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Experience Minimum of 10 - 15 years of relevant experience, including 8 years in a senior finance or management accounting role. Technical Skills In-depth knowledge of MFRS and other regulatory frameworks applicable to public listed companies. Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting. Advanced user of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools Leadership and Communication Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
