1. Responsible in imparting knowledge and skills to students according to MYC Agricultural syllabi. 2. Supervise, monitor and motivate students under your charge to be well prepared for the examinations. 3. Responsible for the students’ whereabouts during class hours. 4. Responsible in keeping up with the advancement of the Agricultural Industries so as to prepare the students for competitive and gainful employment. 5. Responsible in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the workshop and classrooms. PRIME RESPONSIBILIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES a) To instruct, train and prepare examination papers for the students in Agricultural skills based on MYC syllabi both in theory and practical. Examinations papers are to be submitted to the HAP for verification and handed to the Director one week before examination. b) To do assessment and report on the students’ performances in their studies based on their class works, assignments, researches and projects. (Theory and practical). c) To develop a complete set of training and course materials according to the syllabi, in hard and soft copies for filing and easy reference. A copy of the completed hardcopy and softcopy documents must be given to the HAP for recording purposes. d) To plan and prepare for daily teachings, assignments and practical work on various topics such as crop production, soil chemistry, plant genetics livestock and aquaculture. e) To ensure that students are given enough tasks so that they do not linger around wasting time. f) To constantly upgrade knowledge and skills according to the development of the Agriculture Industries. g) To ensure that all training materials, training models, tools and equipment are well maintained and in good order for the students to do their practical trainings. h) To ensure that all activities and projects in the workshop are executed on timely basis at acceptable quality and within cost. i) To ensure that all safety measures are seriously taken into account and implemented when the students do their practical. j) To check and certify the students’ attendance. Students' movement must be monitored. Any students required to do some other works outside your department or the campus must get prior permission from Brother Director & HOD and must be informed to HAP as well to be recorded. k) To ensure discipline and order in the workshop and classroom. l) Any accidents or injuries occurred during school hours must be reported to the HOD and workshop safety officer for further action and recorded in the Safety Log Book. m) Safety and cleanliness of the department and the building have to be maintained at all times. n) To do daily Students Personal Growth Assessments (Log Point) and to submit to the HOD. This is an important assessment and must be taken seriously. All matters pertaining to this is confidential (As and when needed). o) All students should be treated equally and favoritism should be avoided. p) To maintain the properties of the department and any other duties that may be assigned to you by the HAP/Supervisor. q) To attend all MYC calendar activities, assemblies, department meetings, committee meetings to which you may be appointed and other ad-hoc duties/functions assigned from time to time by the Director or by persons acting for and on behalf of MYC. r) Arranging various competitions and programs based on agriculture education for the students, e.g.: Workshop Skills’ Competition.
