Protégé Traffic Management Officer
Job description
Responsibilities:
· Assist in the development and implementation of traffic management plans for roadworks, events, or incidents.
· Support the monitoring and management of traffic flow during peak hours and special events to minimize congestion and ensure safety.
· Conduct on-site inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of traffic management strategies.
· Help in the setup and maintenance of traffic control devices, such as road signs, cones, barriers, and signals.
· Collect and analyse traffic data to assist in the improvement of traffic management systems.
· Assist with the preparation of reports related to traffic incidents, project progress, and traffic flow performance.
· Provide on-the-ground support during road closures, diversions, or lane restrictions, ensuring smooth operations and communication with the public.
Requirements:
· A degree or diploma in Traffic Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or current enrolment in such a program.
· Basic understanding of traffic management principles, road safety, and transportation systems.
· Strong interest in road safety, urban planning, and transportation systems.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Ability to work in both field and office environments.
· Willingness to learn and take guidance from senior professionals in the field.
