The department / team
You will join the Global Service Operation department, which delivers IT services for the AXA’s entities and transversal components or intermediate products to other Products departments (e.g Cloud, Workplace...) with right quality of services.
We are relying on more than 220 people to handle product development in an agile way of working while taking care of major transformation program, as One DataCenter (aiming to define and implement the Datacenter strategic plan jointly with the AXA Entities) or ATLAS program (a strategic program mixing Cloud solutions, Core IT optimization, infrastructure modernization and technical services rationalization).
Our main missions:
  • Be a cornerstone of the Cloud Strategy and accompany the Cloud Transformation having a specific role on the design and delivery of the new Infrastructure hosting platform, within our Datacenters (SDDC-POD), while supporting the migration to target platforms, by extending our solutions to the Cloud (PaaS)
  • Migrate Technical Services to the new Cloud Target
  • Continue our department transformation into a global product driven organization
Job purpose

As a Product Owner your main objective is to support the product manager on the PaaS database products within the Global Intermediate Products Team, to define the roadmap, develop the Cloud oriented DB services.


Main missions
Your responsibilities include:
  • Manage the day-to-day activities related to PaaS development activities within the agile framework with support of the assigned scrum Master
  • Deliver the roadmap in line with the objectives defined
  • Support the transition from IaaS to PaaS
  • Ensure to provide secure PaaS DB solutions, aligned with ITSCM security requirements
  • Ensure that the PaaS DB solution is well integrated within AXA ecosystem, aligned with AXA standards
  • Support the entities on the onboarding of the PaaS db services.
  • Document and communicate to entities about the releases and new features.
  • Update the catalog of service
  • Collaborate with different teams, CTO, ATLAS program, Group security to ensure the delivery of the project aligned with the strategy.
  • Collaborate with CTO, Competency center to prepare the approval committee (Gate 0 to Gate 3)
  • Help the Product manager to represent the team in the product committees
  • Contribute to the product lifecycle: Demand Management, Product backlog grooming
  • Support the product manager to build and maintain trust relationships with key-users (including OPCO users) to keep track of real-life usage of the solution and remain aligned with user needs.
  • Support the management of the relationship with the vendors end sourcing partners
  • Communicate about the product and engage with the DB / entity / cloud communities and DB stakeholders.
  • Write clearly the items in the backlog, set priorities, and measure the achievement of benefits
  • Help evaluate business value and benefits
  • Work in close collaboration with the team to define what must be delivered
  • Accept/refuse the product increment in alignment with Product Managers
  • Empower the team members to contribute to the content of each iteration

Your Profile

Experience
  • 10 + years’ experience in IT engineering or operations, among them at least 5 + as an expert in cloud domain, in relation with Databases.
  • Proven knowledge of the Database environment (on Prem, in the Cloud)
  • Proven knowledge on end-to-end Cloud Technology architecture in a large-scale production environment
  • Proven experience with the Agile and DevOps methodology
  • Proven experience of Quality-of-Service accountability (SLA management, ITIL processes, …)
  • Being able to work in international teams and multi-cultural environment.
  • Proven experience in driving project to reach a target-goal.
  • Proven experience in product development
  • Work with minimal direct guidance, self-motivated and proactive
  • Good communication skills to upper management and SME’s, entities
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience of working in dynamic, matrix-structured global organizations
  • Assertiveness, empathy, active listening

  • Ability to product changes and evolution, curious of new technologies.

Technical skills
  • Knowledge of coding and infrastructure as code
  • Knowledge of Puppet, Terraform and/or Resolve is a plus
  • Knowledge on Database management
  • Knowledge in Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure)
