Job Description:
- Manage daily shipping and logistics operations, including transportation, delivery planning, scheduling and tracking.
- Regular interaction with sales, customer service and operations personnel on carrier, order scheduling and planning matters.
- Ensure drivers take assigned trips on time and resolve any trip issues in collaboration with the Customer Sales Support Services team.
- Monitor driver trip delivery through the GPS system and provide updates to the Customer Sales Support Service team on the expected time of arrival for each delivery.
- Plan and monitor lorry maintenance schedules and coordinate with the Customer Sales Support Service team.
- Ensure all drivers’ licenses, Port Passes and other regulatory documents are compliant before reporting for duty.
- Ensure that safety standards and regulatory compliance are always met across all operations.
- Actively liaise with customers to provide updates, resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Continuously explore ways to improve operational efficiency, customer service and safety protocols.
- Manage billing monitoring processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
- Oversee job closure processes, ensuring all tasks are completed and necessary documentation is finalized.
- Prepare/monitor driver incentive report and ensuring drivers receive accurate and fair compensation based on their performance.
- Handle fleet management responsibilities including road tax, Puspakom inspections and other vehicle-related compliance requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to the wider operations team as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and contribute to company growth.
- Perform any other tasks as and when required by management.
Job Requirements:
- The candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Logistics and Transportation is an added advantage.
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Meticulous in checking all documents and maintaining strict deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with teams and departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance requirements and industry standards.
