Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive wholesale strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and growth targets.
- Identify and target potential wholesale clients and new distribution channels to drive business growth.
- Cultivate relationships with universities, schools, B2B clients, and etc. enhancing the company’s market presence and expanding its customer base.
- Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with existing and prospective wholesale clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- A key liaison between the company and its wholesale clients, addressing needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with wholesale clients to achieve mutually beneficial agreements while meeting the company’s profitability goals.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal standards.
- Build the wholesale sales team, setting performance targets, and providing direction and training.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure efficient order fulfilment and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to streamline processes and address any fulfilment challenges.
- Analyse sales data to identify key trends, customer behaviour, and areas for potential growth.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute effective sales and promotional strategies tailored to wholesale markets.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities and market dynamics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in wholesale management or a related role in the book industry.
- Proven track record in the sales and business development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing improvement strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks.
Working Conditions:
- This position will be based at our HQ office in Section 33, Shah Alam.
- Working days are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.
- The candidate should be prepared for flexibility when required, including working extra hours, weekends and public holidays, to ensure the successful execution of time-sensitive initiatives.
- The candidate shall possess the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
