A Hydraulic Engineer specializes in the design, analysis, and implementation of systems involving fluid mechanics, hydraulic flow dynamics and hydraulic systems. Planning, follow-up, feedback and control of projects. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Design & Analysis: Develop and analyze hydraulic systems, including dams, pipelines, drainage systems, canals, and pumping stations. • Modeling & Simulation: Use computational tools and software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to simulate water flow, pressure, and distribution. • Testing & Inspection: Conduct field investigations, hydraulic testing, and performance analysis of hydraulic systems. • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety guidelines. • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot issues related to Hydraulic systems/ equipment, fluid dynamics, etc. • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and project proposal related to his area of responsibilities.
