Position Summary
Role and Responsibilities
Product Planning
  • To develop pipeline plan, co-ordination and execution of plan in assigned product and location
  • Manage overall product line life cycle and overall stock aging status
  • Create and enhance values of product, accessories, content and services of products
  • Ability to execute AP2 forecast and product analysis
  • Revenue, pricing and profitability forecast for new products
Market Research
  • Conduct consumer / market research by maintaining understanding of market landscape, customer requirements and mapping of competition activities
  • Responsible for analysing market trend and data using internal and external secondary research and hands on primary research to provide perspective to influence portfolio of products and launches
  • Able to identify product gap and business opportunities
Business Management
  • Manage phase-in-and-out, monitor performance and make adjustments to products plans based on results
  • Responsible for setting business sales target and forecasting of sales
  • Consolidate sales, retail plan and functional plan for new initiatives
  • Liaise with cross functions including Corporate Marketing, Retail Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and to be point contact to HQ
  • Lead product launch brief prior to new product launches
  • Conduct periodic product training to relevant parties
  • Lead the development of yearly business management plan
Administration
  • Prepare and circulate information regarding competition’s new product launches and product benchmark against competitor’s product range line-up
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting performance of key product launches
  • SCM/MCS co-ordination and operation

Skills and Qualifications
  • Has a wide range of experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Works on complex issues where analyzing situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables. Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinates other's tasks
  • May manage a group such as coordinating activities regarding costs, methods and staffing
  • Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years
