- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records, both physical and electronic.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Generate reports and summaries of financial data.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail related to accounting functions.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to the accounting department.
- Undertake other ad-hoc assignments as required by the accounting manager.
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree may be considered an asset.
- Able to speak in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
- 5+ years of proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar accounting role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in data entry and accounting software such as Autocount.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a results-oriented approach.
