Job Summary: The Trainer (Scaffolding & Temporary Works) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of scaffold / temporary works related knowledge, project general specification and related information to relevant personnel involve in the project. This person will have the responsibility to provide knowledge on maintaining the asset value and providing for the health, safety and educational development of the employees involved in scaffold / temporary works. The person will be expected to work independently and make technical decisions and recommendations in the field. Key Responsibilities / Duties: 1. Developing training and development strategies with Head of SHE / Training Manager by considering immediate and long-term staff requirements. 2. Design and develop training module according to authorities and project requirements. 3. Select suitable training method or intervention to deliver to the sub-contractors. 4. Deliver training program and conduct learning assessment. 5. Continuously enhance the training module according to authorities and project requirements. 6. Propose and maintain training tools. 7. Prepare and update periodical training program status and its analysis of the training effectiveness. 8. To provide guidance and consultation internally within the project organization on SHE requirements and implementation related to scaffold / temporary works. 9. To liaise with local authority, client, independent consultant, and sub-contractor to resolve any scaffold / temporary works related matter if required. 10. Conduct / attend joint safety and health inspection for any scaffold / temporary works related matter with local authorities, clients, and senior management. 11. To issue observation, nonconformance report or Stop Work Order for any identified nonconformance at project site based on the seriousness of the risk. 12. Assist in incident investigation especially for incident related to temporary works, working at height etc. 13. To perform other ad-hoc administration duties as when required by superior. Qualifications: • Possess at least Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Civil Construction, Engineering, SHE or equivalent. • Possess Scaffold Competency Level 3 (Advanced Level). Experience: • Minimum 5 – 10 years of experience relevant to the works preferably in construction safety and health. Skills & Abilities: • Well-versed with safety & health legislative requirements related to scaffold / temporary works. • Good technical knowledge in scaffold / temporary works. • Good communication and presentation skill. • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate). • Ability to deliver training program to a high quality.
