  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

The National AI Office Malaysia (NAIO) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Executive to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for managing key NAIO-related projects, ensuring efficient execution, alignment with the National AI strategies with adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards as well as fostering good relationship with NAIO’s stakeholders.

The candidate should display experience in project management, stakeholder relations, and a deep understanding of AI technologies and their applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight Coordination: Assist in the monitoring and management of AI projects across various sectors, from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with the National AI strategies and deliverables
  • Project Planning Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, milestones, and risk management strategies to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify potential risks and challenges, and work with project teams to implement mitigation strategies and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources, and report on project financials and progress to senior management.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders on project status, key achievements, potential roadblocks, and project health metrics.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that AI solutions and initiatives meet quality standards and align with the strategic goals set by the National AI Office.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, decisions, and changes. Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and external audits or assessments.
  • Team Leadership & Support: Assist in providing guidance to project teams and to ensure a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years or above of experience in project management, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or executive role.
  • Candidates with experience working with AI technology and AI innovation-related projects is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with government projects, policies, or initiatives is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project management tools will be highly appreciated (e.g., MS Project, ClickUp, Monday, Jira, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with senior stakeholders and diverse teams.
  • Understanding of AI technologies, trends, and their strategic applications in national projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
