1. Health & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and DOSH regulations.
  • Maintain and update HSE policies, procedures, and SOPs in line with local and industry standards.
  • Liaise with DOSH, DOE, and other regulatory bodies for inspections, audits, and certifications.

2. Risk Assessment & Incident Management

  • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and control (HIRARC).
  • Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and safety violations; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain records of accidents, incidents, and safety reports.

3. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct HSE training and induction for new employees and contractors.
  • Organize fire drills, emergency response exercises, and first aid training.
  • Promote safety culture through awareness programs and toolbox talks.

4. Environmental Management

  • Monitor waste management, water treatment, and pollution control in compliance with DOE regulations.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals in accordance with EQA 1974.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and sustainability initiatives.

5. Workplace Safety & Inspections

  • Perform routine safety inspections and audits on equipment, PPE, and work areas.
  • Ensure proper ergonomic and hygienic practices in production areas.
  • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) and confined space entry procedures.

6. Emergency Preparedness

  • Develop and implement Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
  • Coordinate with the Fire Department, Ambulance Services, and First Aid Teams.
  • Maintain fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency exit routes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Green Book Certification (DOSH Registered Safety Officer) is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HSE within manufacturing, preferably poultry processing or food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, FMA, EQA, HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to conduct training and audits effectively.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willing to work and based in Simpang Renggam, Johor
  • Able to handle shift work or extended hours if required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
