We are seeking a Business Development to support the international expansion of our retail brands. This role will focus on market research, strategic partnerships, retail expansion execution, and business analysis to drive growth in new global markets. International Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct in-depth market research to assess expansion opportunities, including consumer demand, competition, economic factors, and cultural preferences.
  • Evaluate market entry strategies, including direct operations, joint ventures, and distributor partnerships.
  • Analyse regulatory requirements, trade policies, and legal frameworks to ensure compliance.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for entering and scaling in new markets.
  • Track industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging retail innovations to inform decision-making.

    Business Development & Partnerships

    • Identify and establish relationships with key partners, landlords, and commercial property developers for new retail locations.
    • Negotiate and facilitate business agreements, lease terms, and strategic collaborations.
    • Work closely with internal teams to align business objectives with market-specific opportunities.
    • Represent the company in international business meetings, trade shows, and networking events to promote expansion.
    • Support cross-border negotiations and deal structuring to ensure profitable market entry.

      Retail Expansion Execution

      • Assist in site selection, lease negotiations, and securing prime retail spaces in key international markets.
      • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, marketing, and supply chain) to ensure successful store openings.
      • Oversee the store rollout process, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and operational standards.
      • Work with local teams to address logistical and operational challenges in new regions.
      • Provide ongoing support to ensure smooth retail operations and customer experience in new markets.

        Business Analysis & Market Insights

        • Conduct competitive analysis and market feasibility studies for international expansion.
        • Monitor customer preferences, sales data, and regional buying behaviours to refine market strategies.
        • Analyse operational performance in new locations and provide recommendations for improvement.
        • Prepare and present market insights, business reports, and expansion progress updates to senior management.
        • Identify opportunities for process optimisation and business growth in global markets.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in international business development and retail expansion (preferably in retail brands).
  • Strong knowledge of retail business models, global market dynamics, and consumer trends.
  • Proven experience in negotiating business deals, lease agreements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and research skills to interpret market data and business trends.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (a plus).
