Head of Talent Acquisition
Head of Talent Acquisition lead the talent acquisition strategy and execution. This critical role will be responsible for attracting, engaging, and hiring top-tier talent to support the bank's strategic growth and objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing talent acquisition teams, implementing innovative sourcing strategies, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
As a forward-thinking and influential leader, the Head of Talent Acquisition integrates knowledge across multiple domains to make informed decisions and address complex challenges effectively.
Functional (job responsibilities)
Custodian of Recruitment process
- Talent Acquisition Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the bank's overall business objectives. This includes defining employer branding initiatives, target candidate profiles, and talent pipelines for critical roles.
- Design and recommend employee value proposition to ensure consistency in employee and external stakeholder experience
- Oversee and deliver all employer brand initiatives and recruitment campaigns including hiring events and meetups across all divisions to drive candidate engagement and boost Bank employer brand
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and other key stakeholders across the bank. Understand their talent needs and provide consultative support throughout the recruitment process.
- Develop recruitment strategy. This may include job posting optimization, recruiting marketing channel development, job board, digital and non-digital employment marketing, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning, talent planning
- Compliance & Legal: Ensure all talent acquisition activities comply with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and talent market dynamics to inform talent acquisition strategies and ensure the bank remains competitive in attracting top talent.
People Management
- Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the talent acquisition team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective collaboration. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Managing workflow and internal and external overflow capacity within the Bank to achieve optimal deployment of internal resources and external resources.
- Building and managing a high performing Talent Acquisition team which benchmarks strongly in the
Sourcing
- Sourcing Strategy & Innovation: Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract passive candidates and build diverse talent pools. Utilize a variety of channels, including social media, professional networking sites, industry events, and employee referrals.
- Accountable for sourcing for senior level hires, ensuring direct sourcing channels and the relevant preferred suppliers are used.
- Developing and leading initiatives to drive more diverse talent acquisition pools.
- Identifying ways to build the candidate experience as they go through the Talent Acquisition process
- Collaborate and develop with Top Universities on recruitment programs
- Embedding standardized selection tools to improve effectiveness of selection and minimize risks
Ensuring Talent Acquisition Target & Budget
- Accountability for meeting the budgeted recruitment targets - time, quality & price, providing strong leadership to ensure that the team delivers these targets in terms of service and quality, client and candidate satisfaction, financials and continuous improvement.
- Analyzes and reports on employment statistics, including cost per hire, source of hire, and diversity recruiting initiatives.
Jobholder Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent acquisition strategies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of recruitment best practices and employment laws.
- Data-driven and analytical with the ability to track and report on key performance indicators.
- Strong understanding of the banking industry and its talent needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with executive search and talent pipelining.
- Professional certifications in HR or talent acquisition (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CIPD).
