Supply Chain:
- Identify, evaluate, and select the most suitable suppliers for designated products, conducting comparative pricing and negotiating pricing agreements.
- Confirm the quality of products and establish delivery requirements and timelines.
- Assist the supervisor in sourcing competitively priced products or goods as per business requirements.
- Maintain and update data and prices in the Food Market Hub item lists.
- Assist with the addition of new items and vendors into the Food Market Hub or similar systems.
- Maintain and update the latest price list for packaging and vegetable products in the Master Supply Chain database by specified deadlines.
- Validate and update prices for existing items in the Food Market Hub and Master Supply Chain database.
- Maintain the "Primary vs Secondary list of Critical Products."
- Collaborate with the supervisor to determine purchasing needs and requirements for production and office products.
- When needed, perform purchasing functions, including issuing Purchase Orders (POs) and verifying pricing.
- Identify and resolve issues related to product quality, pricing, delivery, utilization, and loss.
- Perform inventory cycle counts, spot counts, and month-end reconciliation processes, researching variances and authorizing necessary inventory adjustments.
- Keep the company informed about new products that may enhance efficiency or cost-effectiveness and identify obsolete products and product trends.
- Proactively work with other departments on internal planned/ad hoc promotions, demand-supply review, forecasting, and timely execution.
- Engage with top suppliers in joint business forecasting, conducting monthly/bi-weekly review meetings and reporting.
- Coordinate R&D tasting sessions with the R&D and Quality Control department and ensure timely execution of action plans.
Inventory Control:
- Ensure accuracy between physical stock and the system.
- Compile and prepare monthly inventory balances.
- Generate and communicate accurate inventory reports to relevant stakeholders.
Warehouse & Logistics:
- Order stock for warehouse consumable items and submit invoices to the accounts department for payments.
- Identify and liaise with purchasers to determine the storage location for new arrivals before shipment ETA.
- Monitor monthly transportation costs and source warehouse facilities if necessary.
- Assist in yearly stock count activities and reports.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervisor in providing guidance and support to team members as needed, ensuring new team members receive proper on-the-job training.
- Perform managerial tasks such as organizing, planning, and implementing when the supervisor is unavailable.
- Propose methods to improve operations, processes, efficiency, and service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Food & Beverage Services Management or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the F&B industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, particularly invoicing, warehouse management, and transport arrangements.
- Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools like Excel for data analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of urgency in addressing issues
- Can work in fast pace environment.
- Attention to details, highly organized and able to multitask in fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,400.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
