Senior/Director Business Development ( Only Staffing & Recruitment)
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Role Overview: Teknowiz is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive client acquisition and revenue growth for its Recruitment and Staffing vertical across the SEA region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the staffing industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to establish scalable business strategies. This role is critical to building a robust client base and ensuring operational success from the outset.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
• Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy targeting key industries (e.g., IT, finance, banking, manufacturing).
• Identify new business opportunities and create plans to penetrate competitive markets
2. Client Acquisition:
• Prospect, pitch, and secure long-term clients through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
• Build strong relationships with HR leaders, CEOs, and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs.
3. Revenue Generation:
• Set and meet revenue and sales targets quarterly and annually.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts to ensure profitability.
4. Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with recruitment and operations teams to ensure client requirements are met efficiently.
• Provide input on candidate sourcing strategies to align with client expectations.
5. Market Intelligence:
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity and market demands to inform business strategy.
6. Reporting and Metrics:
• Track and report sales performance, pipeline activity and client feedback to senior management.
• Develop actionable insights based on performance data.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in business development within the staffing or recruitment industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong understanding of recruitment processes and compliance requirements in Malaysia.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, ATS software, and Microsoft Office Suite
