You will work closely with writers, editors, and SEO specialists to maintain accuracy, consistency, and readability across all published content.

Key Responsibilities

Proofreading & Editing:

  • Review SEO articles, blog posts, financial reports, and investment-related content for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and punctuation issues.
  • Ensure that all written materials are clear, coherent, and free from typos or inconsistencies.
  • Enhance sentence structure, readability, and overall flow of the content while maintaining the original meaning.

Consistency & Style Compliance:

  • Maintain a consistent writing style and tone across all content, ensuring alignment with company branding and editorial guidelines.
  • Standardize terminology, phrasing, and formatting to create a seamless reading experience.
  • Adhere to AP Stylebook, Chicago Manual of Style, or company-specific style guides as required.

Fact-Checking & Accuracy Validation:

  • Verify financial and investment-related data, including market trends, trading strategies, financial instruments, and economic indicators.
  • Cross-check references, sources, and financial terminology to ensure correctness.
  • Identify potential factual inaccuracies and collaborate with writers to correct errors.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with content writers, editors, and SEO specialists to ensure the publication of high-quality, accurate, and engaging content.
  • Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve content quality and writing standards.
  • Assist in developing and updating internal style guides and best practices for financial content.

Quality Assurance & Deadline Management:

  • Ensure all content is error-free and ready for publication before final approval.
  • Manage multiple proofreading assignments while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Conduct final checks on formatted content to verify proper structure and layout before publishing.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in proofreading or editing financial, investment, or business-related content.
  • Experience in financial journalism, publishing, or content marketing is an advantage.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to catch subtle errors.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial terminology, market trends, and investment concepts.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining content quality.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO best practices, and editing tools such as Grammarly, Hemingway, or StyleWriter.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is required.
