About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Advisor to join our team in the oil and gas exploration & production (E&P) sector. The ideal candidate will play a key role in evaluating new business opportunities, leading multicultural technical teams, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams in strategic decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multicultural technical teams of experienced geoscientists and engineers.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams in evaluations of new business opportunities in the oil and gas sector.
  • Provide strategic commercial insights for exploration and production (E&P) projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and economic evaluations for potential investments and partnerships.
  • Drive contract negotiations, commercial agreements, and deal structuring.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, commercial best practices, and corporate governance policies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align business strategies with organizational goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geoscience.
  • At least 15 years of experience in the oil and gas exploration & production (E&P) industry.
  • Proven experience in leading multicultural technical teams.
  • Strong background in coordinating multidisciplinary teams for new business opportunity evaluations.
  • Expertise in commercial negotiations, economic analysis, and risk management within the E&P sector.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and commercial contracts in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in economic modeling and financial analysis tools.
  • Ability to develop and execute business development strategies in the upstream oil & gas sector.
  • Experience with JV agreements, PSCs, and farm-in/farm-out transactions is a plus.
