Job Summary

The Assistant FP&A Manager position is a pivotal role in driving financial success and strategic decision making. Also is responsible to develop FP&A Reporting (all P&L) for both, Regional Office and affiliates. Their primary responsibilities include developing and managing financial Plan, Estimates and LRP that align with corporate objectives, analyzing actuals and identifying risks and opportunities. By collaborating with various stakeholders and ensuring timely reporting, FP&A teams provide critical insights that support business growth and profitability. Their continuous effort to improve financial processes further enhances the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations, making them essential to the overall success of the organization. As assistant manager, it is charge of assisting leading and managing a team within the workstream together with manager.

Responsibilities

  • Constant communication with stakeholders, nurturing relantionship based on excellent customer service.
  • Prepare annual operating plan and monthly estimates, working together with the business and the Regional FP&A teams.
  • Monthly IBP Support: Support the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for the brands, raising potential Risks & Opportunities (R&O) related to Supply, Mix, MOC, EXOB, and growth trends compared to the Plan and Latest Estimate (LE).
  • Monthly Analysis: Conduct monthly analyses of current performance, estimate proposals, and assess monthly risks and opportunities. This will be facilitated through a structured review, alignment, and follow-up calendar with affiliates and regional brands. Key points include:
    • Ensuring resource allocation aligns with the company's strategic objectives (Digital and Social Media), while reinforcing data analysis focused on consumer insights and KSM, leverage on GTM Analytics & Activation.
    • Leveraging COE Online for: ROE/ROI control of online activities, Execution tracking, particularly in KSM, Identifying support areas and proposing improvements to enhance collaboration between brand and COE
    • Reviewing direct and indirect costs opportunities.
  • Retail and CAPEX COE Support: Engage with COE Retail and CAPEX for reviewing productivity and demos to provide visibility for improving profitability and utilizing information from COE regarding Door Productivity and Intensive Doors Care to identify opportunities for enhancing brand results
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Finance to ensure effective use of discounts and returns, along with price compliance monitoring, review of Cost of Goods (COG), focusing on controllable items (GWP, PWP, collateral, EXOB, etc.) and understanding the concepts of PPV, logistics costs, and their forecasts
  • Support business leaders in day-to-day decision making by providing financial data in a management-friendly format.
  • Generate strategic insights and analysis whenever required and also partner with the COE team to generate value added reports
  • Find synergies, benchmark processes, reports and activities internally and externally (across Regions)
Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance or CPA, ACCA, CIMA or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of working experience in similar function
  • With significant experience in Financial Modelling and Analytical Skill
  • Advance proficiency in financial software and reporting tools (eg Excel, SAP, OneStream)
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to details
  • Excellent verbal and written communicaion skill

Description

  • Provide strategic analysis and financial insights to management with key indicators of door performance, sales run rates, ROI, COG / Opex analysis, corporate/local affiliates' KPIs
  • Act as a financial consultant & advisor to assigned brand/departments on business and financial activities
  • Lead and monitor annual financial & capital budgets processes and monthly financial estimates processes. Ascertain reasonableness & accuracy of information therein
  • Partner with Demand Planning, brands' sales & marketing team to ensure that the monthly latest estimates are prepared with realistic assumptions and flag⁃out any risk or opportunity in the forecast
  • Liaise with regional and head office counterparts on business planning and analysis
  • Assist in projects as required to improve financial discipline, productivity and systems and implementation of management accounting processes
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis for management, regional & New York offices
  • Participate in financial accounting activities as & when required

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years relevant experience in multi⁃national retail/luxury brands
  • Sound analytical mind with good understanding of business processes and a strong business mindset/savvy. Able to work in a very dynamic and highly competitive industry
  • Acquainted with computer software, knowledge in SAP, excellent EXCEL skills
  • Attention to details, very well organized and demonstrates learning agility
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (English and Cantonese), keen ability to collaborate with lines of business and communicate with different stakeholders
  • Self⁃motivated, strive for excellence in execution and results oriented
  • Flexible and strong interest in high volume multi⁃brands retail business
